At the moment my daughter has Eczema on the back of her knees, her elbows and on her tummy. It doesn't seem to bother her but it looks unsightly. I went to the doctors and they prescribed some bath emollient for her bath which seems to have cleared it up, but I suspect it will be back.... According to gurgle's article on Eczema, some children grow out of it so i'm keeping my fingers crossed. (oh, we went to Spain and the sun cleared her Eczema up - good excuse for a holiday)!!

What's the best way to treat eczema?

I found that keeping food items that might trigger eczema out of my diet (as I am breastfeeding) helps keep my baby's eczema to a minimum--especially things like dairy, wheat and caffeine. When he does have breakouts (as I do as well), I use Weleda's Candula Baby Creme for the rough patches and Weleda's Candula Baby Bath for him and it make the rough patches less red and sore.

I have really bad eczema myself and I am worried that my baby will get it. I am newly pregnant - have any other mums with eczema found that their babies sufferered too?
