I agree 7 months is a bit early to be dropping daytimne naps, I think you should definitely put her to bed later - if it is possible (for your own sanity you might want to have some time to yourself in the evening!)
I think 7 months is too early to drop naps especially if your baby is as active as you say she is - she obviously needs the sleep in the day. Have you thought about putting her to bed a little later? There's a good article on this website called Coping with an early riser: http://www.gurgle.com/articles_Article.aspx?NodeID=35536 which might help....
I'd leave it a couple of weeks (assuming you can stand it) - she'll be going through patterns of behaviour dictated by her bodies development. It will even itself out.
hello. My one year old has been sleeping though the night from about 7 months. She has one hours nap in the morning and a lunchtime nap of 1.5-2 hours. She goes to bed about 6.30 after a bath and bottle of about 9oz. She has been sleeping through til about 7am which has been working perfectly. recently (i.e in the past few weeks) she has been waking at 5am, ready for milk and raring to start the day. this new routine of her waking so early is bad news for everyone. Should I try and drop a daytime sleep in order for her to sleep longer at night? Any suggestions? I should tell you that she is incredibly active, verging on hyperactive!! Walking all day long, hardly plays with toys - just walks and walks and walks. she's exhausted by bed time but I just need her to go that extra hour or 2 in the morning. Any help or suggestions gratefully received! thanks so much, Susannah
