hi there,
when i stopped trying i found out i was pregnant :D
never thought i would have as i have endrometriosis and a blocked falopian tube and im currently 6 months :D, whats meant to be is so, so dont give up hope i think stress of trying makes it not happen xxx
I have bang on the same problem wellwisher, my blood test said i might have it & ultrasound says i dont, but now 6 months on im still not pregnant x
Hi I am new, I was told i had PCOS by my doctor by blood test and by an ultrasound i was told i didnt have it. I have had trouble conceiving and it is really getting me down. I would like to talk to others who have the same problem.
I too have PCOS.I managed to conceive after nearly 3 years of trying with the help of both Metformin and Clomid together. I now have a gorgeous 4& 1/2 month old baby boy and I am eager to try again....I know that the experts would say that this is too soon but if it takes as long as it did last time??!!!
Anyone with PCOS......keep pushing your Dr to get you some help, I did and it finally paid off and it's soooooooo wprth it! Good luck!!!!
I was diagnosed with PCOSa few years ago, then when i was wanting to concieve ii saw my GP, he referred me to a specialist at the university college Hospital in London, I was seen by a consultant and had a scan done to see the PCOS cysts and to confirm I had PCOS, I was then given metformin and another drug to make me have a period they are quite strong and can make you feel quite quesy. But I am happy to say that I now have a 7 month old little boy i managed to concieveafter about 2months , I would ask your GP to be referred to a specialist and believe me ther is hope at the end of the tunnel.
I have PCOS, and have been taking metformin since last summer. It helps regulate the insulin resistance levels in your body, and can cause ovulation to 'kick-start' again.
At first my periods were too regular, so it was unlikely I was ovulating, but over the past 2 or 3 months they have become more like the 'normal' 4-weekly cycles, so my GP thinks I am! I've also started noticing the little signs of ovulation at about the right times of my cycles, so she's hoping to reduce the dose gradually to see if the cycle stays.
I've also read a lot about women with PCOS trying GI or diabetc diets to 'kick-start' ovulation again, which is another option?
If you have a good GP, they should be able to advise you on which might be the best options to look at first.
Good luck! x
