At six weeks your baby will have a check up with the GP and all these things will be covered. If you are concerned, then this is the time to discuss them with the doctor. Bear in mind that it is normally around 6 weeks that babies begin to follow objects with their eyes. Susie
Hi Nat,
My daughter still couldn't focus that well at five weeks, think her eyes were getting used to the outside world and she kept getting cross-eyed! If I was you I would take your son to the GP just to make sure his eyes are ok, and to set your mind at rest.
Hi- My son Sam is 5 weeks old and still doesn't seem to focus on much. If I hold something bright and move it across the room he doesn't follow it- is this normal -am I just being paranoid..?
