i stopped sterilising at 6 months for both my children. wouldn't worry too much about the teether - just wash the steriliser out maybe?

Does anyone know when you can stop streilising everything. Harry is nearly 7 months now. I think I will keep sterilising bottles but not sure about everything else? Also My husband managed to melt a teething ring in our steam sterliser (dont ask!) and now I am worried it has leaked chemicals into the machine - please set my mind at rest? I probably shouldnt ask this, incase I dont like the response!
