Weaning

Hi, My son is 9 months old and is so hard to wean. If i try to give him a savoury by spoon he wont eat it. He will only eat some finger foods eg: toast, rusks (not fruit or veg) or yoghurts or fruit puree and porridge. I am really worried he is going to be fussy - i have tried everything and cook most of his meals myself using a baby cook book but he is just not interested, any ideas??

Mmm, what does he eat for tea then? Just toast or rusks? Does he eat babyrice/porridge? If so, I would mix in some fruit for starters, but pureed fruit, no lumps! I do know friends with a similar situation and during the day my friends LO would get baby rice, mixed in with pureed veg...once he was happy eating that, then they slowly cut out the baby rice. Good luck and let us know how it goes...XXX
