Only asked me how I was, contraception, what my moods had bn like etc - nothing to worry about. If they do ask to examin you 'down there' just say no and that all is fine!
They've never examined me internally after any of my 3 children ( all c-section) have just had a chat about how things are going, I don'teven think they checked my scar?
I had a c-section and the doc did check down there (which shocked me) Think they checked that my cervix had moved back into correct position. It didn't hurt so don't worry. My baby was breech so they also checked her hips to make sure they were normal (they were!)
Don't worry too much about the check, it's over in about 10 mins and you'll be more focused on stopping your baby crying in the doctor's room!
my doctor didnt' even venture down there! just asked if I was feeling ok, baby checked. chatted about contraception etc. don't worry about it. If you've had PND then they might just chat with you to see how you're feeling.
It may be different with different GP's but at my 6 week check, the doctor just asked me some questions and took my blood pressure. The midwife checked my stiches only when I requested. It is nothing to worry about.
Just wondered if anyone knows exactly what happens at the 6 week check- I have it looming and don't feel too happy about anyone going 'down there' . I had a Caesarean so will they still check me there? Nat
