yep, but i fond most of the time it is either they are just so busy they dont have the time. Or its just a case of personality clash. If you are not getting on with one of them ask for another or differnet one

Hi hun yeah u should defo have one u should have seen one at about 8/9 weeks. You should have had a 1 to give u info and advice. If you havent then I would defo be complainig to your GP surgery if not moving to another doctors. And from what I can remember you should have also given blood to get checked for certain things. This is a big mistake made by doctors etc. Make sure you get 1 sorted asap hun. They are there to care for you and your baby whilst pregnant. What is it these days with the NHS they just do not seem to care about anything. Hope u get stuf sorted xxx Jade xxx

Hi there! Dont panic too much just yet, there is still time to organise a midwife if you havent already. I only found out I was pregnant at 22 weeks and only managed to organise a midwife when I was 29 weeks. So dont panic just yet. Just go to either your gp or local hospital and explain your situation to them. You will find as most people have already found a midwife by now that they will be more than helpful in ensuring that you get a midwife relatively quickly and that all your antenatal checks/tests are done. One tip though, make sure that you go with a list of questions for them and ask them to explain all test results if no one has already done this. Sometimes they just assume someone has done this which may leave you a little confused as to where you are up to in your pregnancy and whether there are any potential issues (most likely not, but its always good to be informed). Anyway best of luck!

Usually you would see your Dr to say you are pregnant then they should refer you for a booking in appt which is usually done at about 8weeks.Seems strange youve had a scan but not seen midwife.I would suggest you either phone Drs & ask or get in touch with the maternity hosp where you are going to have baby.Steph
