Hi, "Travelling abroad with Children - The complete guide" by Samantha Gore-Lyons was very useful.
I am off to Disneyworld in August & my daughter will be 6 months. Car seats are fine to take but need to be checked in so need to be wrapped well as they are chucked around with the suitcases. Buggies can be checked in as you board the plane but it is worthwhile taking a sling as when you get to the other end it is a time before you get the buggy back. Hand luggage, they allow an extra bag for changing etc.
Airlines are strict on drinks but are a bit more lax for babies but I took pre made formula when I travelled to be safe & microwave steriliser bags.
There is lots to think of when travelling with children but once you've done it once you will be ok.
Medised for the flight may help!
Sorry - first time on here so i've mnanaged to post the same thing 3 times!! Oops
Hi,
We're planning a month long holiday in September, by which time our son will be 7 months old. I'm flying out with my mum and dad and back with my husband so thankfully I won't be on my own with my baby.
Does anyone have any advice at all for me? From things like, can I take the buggy and car seat sections of our travel system on to the plane with us to any recommended products while we're there and even recommendations of things to do (we'll be mainly California coast and Las Vegas).
I know it's a bit open but appreciate any advice. We've done this trip so may times as a couple but having our LO has made us rethink everything!!
Thanks
