Hiya all
I just wondered if im the only one who is 11+2 and still has no appointment for 1st scan and booking in appointment.
I have called the hospital and they said they havn't even made my appointment yet.I just have to wait.I just want to know alls ok with baby,it just doesn't seem real as when you see your baby for the first time,it becomes real.Do i sound silly?
I would be gratefull if anyone could let me know what dates they had there scans at.

I might leave it till next week give the doctor time to write to them and then start ringing them. Annoyance is the way forward I think. :) Thanks for the advice and I'll let you know when I get some news. x

How long should I wait before I start phoning about the scan and booking in appointment? It's my first time and I'm really nervous and have had so much hassle just to be seen by a doctor I just want to be told everything is OK.

Do what i did hunni,call the hospital daily untill you get a scan and booking appointment date.They got fed up with me and made appointment for the next week.Scans are meant to be 12/14 weeks.

I get fed up with waiting for a phone call so I rang the midwives yesterday. They were lovely and I've got my booking in appointment today and my scan next Wednesday. I can't believe it really, it's now all happening. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know what to expect and am a bit worried about it all, but looking forward to it finally seeming a bit more real, and being able to tell people after.

Thats great news,i so glad they have arranged appoinments for you.I know what you mean about the worry.I have a Son Jack,hes 10 now and everything has changed its like starting over.Let me know how you get on,and i cant wait to hear how lovely it was for you seeing your baby for the first time next Wednesday.Good luck hunni and enjoy x x x

Wow cant believe it,I finaly got my scan through,Its next Friday.Luckily i will be 12+3 weeks.When i called them to see if it included my booking in appointment,they said No,they couldn't fit me in and i had to arrange another day after my scan.It makes you nervous that they CANT fit you in.If i was you,Id call every other day now till you get a appointment.

I was so unimpressed by the NHS scans that I had my 20 week scan done privately it was so much better and I got a dvd of my scan too - amazing! You can have any scans done privately so may be worth thinking about... Stops the worry too.

Thanks for the info,I may well look into that.After all the NHS seem to busy to give me a booking in appointment the same time as my scan.At least i have my 12 week scan through now,its not as late as i thought it would be,It must of been me keep calling them,as yesterday they said i hadn't been set a date yet,and today i get a letter from them.Things are so diff this time round.
