Hi my 3 yr old, Kai has been impossible to potty train. I have tried several times since he turned 2 but failed each time. I don't think it has helped him having a younger brother, Calum in nappies ( and also a younger sister, Amy in nappies) I have found the copying works both ways - they each copy each other.
I decided to wait till Calum turned 2 and try to potty train him instead of his older brother. Calum is doing quite well and Kai is now beginning to copy him!

Hi my little boy was 2 in feb and we havent started yet, i was told by a doctor that if you start at 2 they'll be done by 3 and if you start at 3 they'll be done by 3, so why rush?? Im gonna try now the suns out but im not going to stress about it. You dont get a medal if they are out of nappies early. Its not a sign of being a good mum. My friend told me that when we are both ready go for it - dont put them back in nappies at all (except at night) as it confuses them so im gonna wait for a week when we aren't doing much and do it - well thats the plan....!!

Hi,
My little boy is 2 n half and has shown absolutely no interest in being potty trained. He loves to sit on the potty and play and run around naked!! All I would say is don't sweat it, he will click one day when he's ready and yes boys can be 3 and still struggle with the toileting concept. Just remember children never go to school in nappies. The less stress and pressure you put on them and you the more natural it will flow... no pun intended!

My eldest is now 11 ans she was dry day and night by 14months. My middle one is 8 and the first boy he was dry by 18 months in the day and 20 months at night. Have started getting my youngest just turned one used to the idea of a potty now that warmer weather approaching. Great time of year to put little pants on, so that they get a little uncomfortable in the wetness on their bottoms and also catches any little mishaps that could occur. At least your trying. I had a friend with a boy who stayed in pull ups at night even as he approached 4. I could never understand that one but when son is ready he will remain dry.

You have done it once you can do it again, just remember lots of sits on potty with favourite tv program on or reading a book or interaction with little games and songs helps distract what they are doing initially.

Now the next question how old should they be when they stop piddling all over the seat....I don't think they ever do with that one.
