Hi don't be scared - giving birth is the most amazing experience ever! Yes it does hurt but bringing another little person into this world makes it all worth while.
My 1st and 3rd were completely natural with no pain relief. My 3rd happened very quickly. My 2nd was a c-section after a failed induction (my blood pressure went up so I was induced but it didn't work. I had contractions but didn't go into labour so I had a c-section.)
Each one was a great experience and after each I just wanted to do it again.
Best of luck and don't worry - look forward to showing off your new baby. XX
Hi don't be scared it is such a positive experience and at the end of it you will meet your baby!!! I'm not going to lie and say it doesn't hurt because it does but not like a normal pain or horrible pain it's a pain that you're going through with your baby (if that makes sense) I never complained about it hurting because for me it was more the fact that I was tired (eat bread, choc and energy bars if you can in between contractions) You could try natal hypnotherapy I did and thought it really helped! http://www.natalhypnotherapy.co.uk/1676/index.html
If it makes you feel any better I can't wait to do it again and the moment they hand you your precious baby makes it all worth while - it's amazing you'll be fine! xx
Hi thanks for your message.I am sure i will be ok its just the thought of the pain and having a big baby(ppl say he looks big)but the thought of meetin my baby after will keep me going.I have a loving husband and family, who will help me thru it!!My mum n husband wil b there at the birth. And my brother has just become a first time dad so i can get info n help off them.xx
Shell8305 don't be scared. I had my second child 6 weeks ago and I was more nervous this time than the first time. Both of my labours were completely different. My first one 13hrs and this one 4hrs. This time I was in control of the labour I didn't want to give birth laying on the bed as I wanted to be free to walk around as it helped me control the contraction pain. I ended up giving birth kneeling on a beanbag and learning on the bed and it was great. So the only advise I can give you is be strong and do what feels comfortable for you, don't presume you have to lay on the bed and stay there.
Good luck
