Hi, immi i wonder why people stare when babies cy aswell i want to shout look my baby doesnt have an off switch trust me ive looked and its not there! I get the same in the supermarket when my 2 toddlers play up didnt they ever have kids are my children really abnormal for getting fed up?! I trained to be a nurse and got pregnant as i qualified now all my old friends are really career driven so it was hard to lose touch with them but ive taken a completely different path to them. I now work part time as a nurse but only want to keep my hand in until my children are older when i'll focus more on my career. Ive made nice mummy friends though and experienced so much with my children, your right they do come first and your friends will have to accept your baby as part of the package.

what a fab idea for a group! its so true, Jack is at that exact stage where he doesnt sleep a lot in the day, and is only really happy when he's feeding or having my undivided attention lol! Thankfully i have a couple of mummy friends i can see, unfortunately it means im losing touch with my non mummy friends. they come round to see me and i can see them getting frustrated and wound up when jack cries. to be perfectly honest, i dont care. My little man comes first and if they dont like it they can go swivel! :)
thankfully we have a fab baby group here in okehampton, jack is the youngest and i usually end up feeding him through all of the songs but so do the other mums, its so nice to not have to worry when he cries too, as they understand! :D
dont you always wonder, when people look over in the street when your baby is crying, what they expect to see???!!
sorry this post is all over the place lol, bit of a random train of thought....
I try and go to a toddler group every thurs but all i do is sit there and feed ben while all the other parents kids are running around like mad things, when i used to take hope all she loved doing was running up and down screeming and i thought to my self "HELP".my day has been upside down put a wash on-hung it out-when dry had white marks all over it?so took down-put back in washing machine-hung back out-dried up lovley that time,i felt like my head had been in there with it,pjs want to wear them 24hrs aday xx
I went to a playgroup the other week and was the only mum feeding my baby all the others were on the floor playing or toddlers we were there an hour and in that time i fed george and changed his bum! lol!! And my eldest is 3 and turned into the devil child at swimming lesson on sataurday whilst all these angel children behaved i wanted to hide under a big rock. I love pjama days the freedom of being off is great wheres the rule which says you need to be out of your pjs by 5pm? Just dont do it in public or you may get arrested!
Absolutely brilliant group idea...I love what you say about going out with non mums and your baby decides to turn into the devil child :) I am still in my PJ's now at 5pm...not been a good day today for getting stuff done...oh and what is "me" time people keep telling me I need some of that ha ha!
xx
