Hi,
Im almost 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby, im expecing a boy due 13th January,
Ive been having some pain on my right side around where the apendix is it started about a week ago then went and now it just comes and goes, i did ask a midwife about it and she said its proberly the way that baby is but i still cant help thinking about it.
Is this normal and has anyone else had pain?
Thanks
Tracy

I had them too, from about 15 weeks until my baby was born at 37 weeks. Not nice. My midwife said it was probably ligament pains.
It was explained very well to me at my antenatal class, about the ligaments which hold your uterus in place, and of course they are stretching and doing more work as your baby grows. For some reason they do tend to be in certains places. I kept getting it on my left side just below the bump.
It is a normal thing, but obviously, like Spacebabe said, if there are other things going on, go to the GP.
Hi im 30 weeks pregnant and I have been having pains like that, they feel really sharp. My midwife said the same thing that its probably how the baby is lying. Ive been a bit worried but they midwife checked me over and said there is nothing to worry about.
Hi, does it feel like a stitch? It may well be ligament pains that can be quite uncomfortable for some people. I remember having them ouch! If you have no other symptoms like bleeding or urine problems then do'nt worry too much. If it gets really uncomfortable then speak to your GP about painkillers.
