Hi there, My nan died this morning which is obviously very sad. I live approx 1.5 hrs away from where the funeral will be held and don't know whether to take my 8month old with me. A friend has offered to have her for the day but Sofia has never stayed with anyone else other than my mum.Is it wrong for me to take her with me? I really don't know what to do for the best.I'd like to have her with me but I don't know if I feel right taking her to such a sad occassion. Can anyone offer any advice?

Personally I would not take a baby to a funeral, I know it is far and you don't want to leave little one but I am sure she would be fine with your friend even though 8 months old is a clingy age. Could your friend (or another) travel with you so you have Sofia all day except at the funeral itself when she could be taken for a walk or to the park. Remember it will be a long and hard day anyway but an 8 month old will not make it any easier. She will get bored, wriggley and want your attention. Ask your friend. Hope this helps
