I went to the doctor last month concerned that I had left it to late to have a baby (I will be 37 in October), the doctor suggested a simple blood test for me and that Bruce have a sperm test. I had to go back on day 21 of my cycle for the blood test. My results came back 4 days later showing that I am ovulating and Bruces results came back 7 days later showing normal.

Thank you both so much for your posts! I haven't considered the doctors yet - i'm scared of the ttc becoming too "clinical", but if it assures me easily that I'm ok then maybe I should. Will talk to DH about it.

Aww Toddbinns im so sorry to hear that AF is on its way i was due on yesterday but still havent come on yet.
I woke with some cramp this am but still no period as yet im scared to get my hopes up again.
Im so desperate to get pregnant its driving me nuts
Im getting married in April next year and this month was really the last month that we could have got pregnant and i would have gave birth b4 the wedding.
Its hard cause i dont want to start using somthing now but it will just be our luck that i will fall pregnant and i will be massive for my big day but i wouldnt have it ant other way lol xx

Hi, Its me again. Have you been to the doctors? I took 10 months with my son-my 2nd, with my daughter I wasn't planning her, so when it was taking so long with my son, I went to the doctors- I had blood tests, then a scan- which diagnosed poly cystic ovaries!! It might just put your mind at rest.
Try not to worry- once I was diagnosed- I stopped having sex for making babies and did it because I wanted to. The week before I was due to see the consultant- I was pregnant. I'm not saying that this will happen to everyone but worrying does cause stress, which can cause problems in conceiving.
I really hope you havesome good news soon. I'm in my 3rd month of trying- and even with PCOS convince myself that this will be the month!!! My saving grace is that I can have a drink without worrying that it will ahrm the baby!!!

Thank you Flimosmum! We've been trying for 6months - which I know isn't as long as some people and maybe I should quit worrying, but as i'll be 37 in August time seems to be slipping away from us! Will take on board re the bath and wine!

Hi ToddBins- I'm sorry to hear your periods about to start!! It sucks, especially when you think this is the month that you will be pregnant!!
How long have you been trying?

Hi! I know i'm not alone in feeling like this but I'm really upset - I think I'm coming on - and I wasn't due til Friday! I want a baby so badly and am so impatient for it to happen now!
