i have been trying sicen my son was 25mths and now he is 28mth now. i was buting him on the potty be for my other son was born (which is 5mth now). when a come home from hoispal he went for his frist wee. then justed stoped doing it agen. then out of the blue he stared his self. about 4 weeks ago. my trick is that washing his hands he loves doing that so ever time he wees i wash hes hand and let him play with the waster when i wash his potty.but he only gose 1 or 2 time a day and its been 4wks now doing that.
hiya, my sons 16 months and wev brought him a potty so he can get used to it. i sit him on the potty b4 bed and sometimes in the day.he doesnt understand hes goin 2 the toliet yet but when he does we give him lots of praise and he gets a treat each time he does it, last time he did a wee and poo on the potty we brought him a football.tell u son if he manages to do a poo on the potty he can have a teat.im sure hel do it 4 that lol xx
Hi thanks for the advice. It worked. He is mad about ice cream at the moment so we offered it as a treat if he did a poo on the potty. It worked and he has on a poo twice now. :0)
i've been trying with my son since he was 18 mths,he's still not clean,if i leave him with no pants on he will go to the loo but as soon as you put pants on him he pee's,he's nearly 4 now and its driving me crazy.The health visitor said not to worry about it though.

Hi, My son is 28 months and we have started getting him to have a wee on the loo after lunch and at bedtime which he seems happy with.He seems very reluctant to do a poo on the loo or potty though. Any tips on encouraging him.
I don't want to push him and cause an issue but I would like him to start heading out of nappies.
