i was on the pill for 7 years and came off ind ecember 07, still not pregnant :( think it just depends, but i agree - if its this hard to get pregnant - why bother taking it?! my cycles went to a normal routine of 34ish days after 2 months, i think it takes about 2 monhts to sort itself out. But do start taking folic acid now x

Hi iv just camne of the Contraceptive injection after 3 years i just wanted to know how long it took others to catch/get back to normal period cycle obviouly it depends on the person was looking for someone who came off the injection afte 3 years as might be bout the same waiting time if ya follow. lol. x thanks

Hi! I am 34 and came off the pill after 7 years in February. My first period took five weeks and have varied between 30 and 37 days since. I'm not sure myself when am due to ovualate with the varying lengths of cycle. Am gonna try the ovulation sticks and started taking my BBT this month! Starting to get a bit frustrated and wonder why I've been on pill when it's blatantly obvious that it is not that easy to get pregnant!

Hi. I came off the pill in late December 2007 after being on it for approx 9 years. Since then I have had 1 period (Feb 2008) and nothing since. Went to the doctor & have just been diagnosed with PCOS last Thursday. If you are worried it's best to get check out at the docs. Everyone is different so don;t worry. Fingers crossed you'll get your BFP and hopefully I will soon as well. Good Luck x

Hi ya I had been taking it for 8 years and stopped in april, I didnt know that it would take time to go out of your system, didnt even cross my mind, Just wish that the doctor told you or it was in the little leaflets you get with the pill, as I would have stopped taking it earlier. I find it really hard going from knowing exactly when my period is going to be to not having a clue. How do you know when to test if you dont know what date your due and if you do fall pregnant would the dates make no sence as there probely not going to be two weeks after your last cycle??? Oh the questions I have lol. xx

Hiya there,i was on the pill for 12 years,i came off in jan 08,we started trying in march and in may i found put i'm pregnant,let your cycle sort it's self out,start taking folic acid stright away.

I was on the pill for 12 years and stopped taking it at Christmas time. My cycles are taking a while to get back to a normal 28-30 days... I'm currently on 37 and each month varies. I'm going to be 30 later this year and have found it hard that nothing has happened yet. I think I'd assumed as soon as I stopped taking the pill I would fall pregnant straight away, but in my case the pill has taken a while to leave my system.

Everyone is different so make sure you're taking your folic acid and enjoy practicing! Oh, and keep us all posted... Good luck xxxx
