hi
with my first Child i was in labour for 20 hours, with my second i only just made it to the hospital, i had no contractions until my waters broke then had a half hour drive to the hospital (well my boyfriend drove) was in hospital 2 mins before my daughter was born, was home again before she was 5 hours old think next time ill have a home birth!
hi my 2nd wasn't as quick as the 1st but it was much much easier!! I was induced 1st time round i was in established labour for around 8hrs, 2nd time i was having little contractions for bout 19hrs and in established labour for 10 hrs!!
well i was in labour for 25 hours so i hope to god that when i get pregnant and give birth to the next one it will be quicker.alot of ppl have told me its much quicker and easier but its not always the case.
Yes 2nd labours tend to be quicker than the first. Although
sometimes you can niggle around for a while before getting established, but
once established it is quicker.
Second and third labours are - on average- shorter: but don't count on it! My first baby took 5 hours- my second took under an hour from the very first twing - we just got through the hospital doors and she was born in the waiting room. So when I went into labour with my third I rushed to hospital only to wait 14 hours until he was born! There are always exceptions to any rule.

i was in labour for just over 8 hrs with my first, i would like the second to be a bit quicker( due in 7 wks ) i have heard the second is quicker. my sister in law gave birth within an hour of walking into the hospital, contracions started an hour or so before that xx
