im asthmatic and with my first 5 pregnancys my asthma improved but this time ive been worse but just been told to take more ventolin
Hi there laurab1985, I have asthma and take ventolin and also used to take a steroid inhaler. I was not informed by a Dcotor or midwife about any necessary increase in folic acid when I had my first child, however I did take folic acid and multi vitimin tablets off my own back, purely because it was advised for all mothers to be to take them, nothing to do with the asthma. One thing I have noticed, however, I have hardly had to use my inhalers since the birth of my son as well as during pregnancy, not sure if it is related, but a double blessing I think. Take care. :-)
thanks for this i have already started taking folic acid, i hope my asthma improves liek your did.
