Hey just to let you know i was in the start of labour and i had a beautiful baby boy at 1.30am on the 26th of july. Thank you for your replys. x

It sounds like it could well be the start of labour. I would keep an
eye out for the pains becoming nice and regular all the same strength ( not
one big one and then a couple of little ones) and all the same length (all
lasting roughly the same length of time). These are established labour
contractions and you should ring your midwife for advice. The other thing to
keep an eye on is your baby's movements these should continue to be as they
usually do and not slow down as is commonly thought.

I was told after ur show it can still be a couple of days but mine was born the day after so wont be long now!! Good luck x

Thanks for ur reply i've had a show now aswell at about half 9 and still havin pains comin and going think this is start of labour as this is how i started with my daughter. Just gonna try and time the pains and take it easy my bag is all packed and ready any way. x

I did not have the above aches, but my sister-in-law had what you described for 3 days before she went into labour. I know people say this alot, but when you go into labour you know it's for real. I use to ask how do you know? You just do, the pains to me were different to anything i had ever felt.

Hi My due date is today and last nite i had a constant aching period pain in my tummy, Thought it was just braxton hicks so went to sleep till this mornin!! But now i am gettin sharper pains in my belly on and off could these be the start of contractions?? Was wondering if ny one could help me :~) xx
