Hi There, I have a 10 month old daughter and her nursery is east facing. In this weather the temperature in her room can rise to 29 degrees. It is this temperature as I write this and its 10.30pm with the windows open!!! I have her sleeping in just her nappy as she gets very sweaty really easily anyway. Can anyone give me any advice or ideas on how best to keep her room cooler and does this pose any risk to her health?

try keeping the curtains closed during the day to try and keep the sun out (blackout curtains?)

My gran has a little table fan, one of those grey column ones not sure how much they are though, and she puts a saucer with ice cubes in front of it which makes a really nice cool breeze (instead of just sending hot air around the room!). It'd probably cool the room down nicely but I guess with babies you'd have to think about whether you should point it away from where she's actually sleeping and things like that (unless it's really hot and then it might be ok for a little while?).
