this might be a silly questions, but can you PLEASE help thankyou :D

hello everyone :D Right this might be a silly question and you might think im stupid, but this is the first time im trying for a baby with my husband so everything is new to me. What it is as from this month ive done an ovulation test at the time i was ovulating and it come up poss, but the thing is im having symtoms of sickness (tho not actually being sick), needing the loo alot, really sore boobs which i sometimes do get before period, and some other things, if i was in the early stages of pregnancy would my ovulation test still be a positive at the time of my ovulation? i hope you can understand what i mean, as i say im new so im sorry for the silly question. sarah

Well AF is due tomorrow and tested this morning to another disappointing negative so i dont have my hopes high for tomorrow. Might buy a clearblue digital instead of these sticks im using. Thats good news about not being on pill though & periods sorting themselves out. You have the perfect chance to be then! But its true, you never notice any symptoms until you ttc lol. Every niggle is "could i be pregnant" ha ha. Good Luck sarah, when is your period due? You wouldnt normally have any symptoms until right before period is due, if not until 5/6weeks pregnant...xx
helloo again, i see the british weather has gone back to its normal self haha!

My period is due the end of this week some time, my cycle is usually about 38 days maybe abit less or abit more.

I have my fingers crossed for you and hopefully you will have a little supprise, i think ill fall off the loo when the test finally does show a poss, ive had a cramping pain in my lower stomach today, which i put down to wind, and when i went to the loo sometime after there was a slight bit a browny, red stain, which ive never had before, so hopefully might be implanting but we shall see.
Its just kind of hard not to get your hopes up just incase, but i never seem to have much luck.

anyways like i say fingers crossed for you hun

Its not silly sarah, its so confusing when you are unsure. An ovulation tets would not show positive i dont think if you were pregnant because its to do with hormone levels. I hope you are pregnant, what cycle day are you on? but try not to get your hopes up as it is devastating when you think you are and AF arrives. I have my fingers crossed for you. Just as amy says, if you have just come off the pill it will take a while to settle down and if you have recently been pregnant the test will be different too. Let us all know xx
helloo there amy and wannabemummy, thanks for your advice, im trying not to have my hopes up and im just taking one step at a time, ive only started about 3 months ago, so not long at all, but i havnt really been trying the last couple of months but this month i have.

I havnt been on the pill and havnt been pregnant, i was on the depo but that was just over 2 years ago, and my body got back to normal a month after i finished the jab of about 6 years, ive read a few peoples questions and like some of them, ive only started to get symptoms since ttc, before then i wouldnt get anything apart from an odd month id get sore boobs.

Anyway thank you very much for your help girls,
How is everything going for you to? And how long have you been trying for?
I hope all is well

Hi Sarah, I'm not sure if you would get a possitive result for ovulating when your pregnant, they do say that if you have resently been pregnant it can effect the readings so i would guess so. I'm not meaning to dash your hopes but there's lots of women on here to have thoughs symptoms when they ovulate or while there periods settle down after coming off the pill or something, i'm not sure how long you have been trying but good luck, and sorry i couldn't help more.
