My daughter Rhiannon has been off her food all week and generally out of sorts so I took her to the doctor even though I thought it was probably teething and he confirmed she has 4 molars cutting through at once - ouch! She normally eats anything I give her but for the last week she's either just had one mouthful then refused to eat the rest, or she will eat things like yoghurt or crisps. I'm still breastfeeding her although I had planned to give up soon as she no longer really needs it but I have been keeping up milk feeds as well as giving her water to keep her from getting dehydrated. I've been using teething granules, calpol and baby ibuprofen but none of them seem to work for long. I have even tried going back to stage one baby food but she didn't eat much of that either. I know it's only a phase but it's worrying me she has gone for so long without regular full meals. The one thing that really annoyed me is she goes to nursery on Friday afternoon and all day on Saturday and this week on both days I had paniced phone calls from the girl looking after her saying she had a high temperature and was screaming. On Friday they said she had a temperature of 40 and had stripped her off and covered her in cold flanels but the thing is she gets hotter when she screams so it wouldn't have been an accurate reading. They insisted on her being picked up which was inconvenient and the doctor confirmed it was just teething which I had told the nursery about when I dropped her off. They sent her home an hour early on Saturday as well because they couldn't settle her. These people are supposed to be trained professionals so it annoys me they have a flap over the slightest thing!
