Think i'll go with the evian to be on the safe side, thanks for all the reply's x
hi i took my daughter to majorca in may and she was 6 months old at the time and i bought bottled water and boiled it up then made her bottles. my hv said to look out for bottled water that we know so we did and she was fine with it. xx
Hiya, I spent 2 months in Cyprus when my dd was 3 months old - I used boiled tap water - my hv here told me to only used bottled water but when I got to cyprus I spoke to other parents at the local nursery and they used boiled tap water with no problems so I changed my baby to that and she was absolutely fine - was a lot easier on the purse too as evian water which I had been using cost lots and the bottles only filled a couple up at a time. hope that helps

have a look in the supermarkets when u get there. I took my lo to cyprus and they sold bottled water that was baby friendly
Its so worrying isn't it that HV's all say different things. There were 2 at my docs surgery one said boil Evian one said boil tap water. What are we poor mums meant to do when even they contradict each other!!! I'm not sure what I'll do now!!!
I spoke to my health visitor about this before I went to spain and she said that you must use boiled bottled water as tap water abroad is not safe for us to drink. She did say that we should use evian water if possible as it has the lowest sodium content. I used this when in spain with my son and he was fine.
I think your friend is right. You should use boiled tap water. My friend went to Portugal and did that for her formula feeds and I'm off to Spain and will be doing the same. Hope that helps a little. xx
hi, just wondering were off to menorca next week with our little girl who is 7 months, can we use the tap water(boiled) to make up her formular feeds? or does it have to be the bottled water?
my friend said that bottled water has a lot of sodium in it and shouldn't be given under 12 months?????
can anyone help? thanks.
