hospital bag!

Thanks guys, that was a big help! think i'l just pack the essentials, enough for a day or two, but perhaps also pack an extra bag for any extra days i might have to stay but leave it at home ready for other half to pick up if needs be! Thanks everyone. nessy

hi there, i had my baby daughter 4 months ago now, and the amount of things i took with me that id did not need was unbelievable! but sometimes its for your own piece of mind, youre not sure how long you will be in hosptial foe etc! i would say plenty of water, for pain relief i just had a little bit of gas and air, but i found that it made my mouth very dry- and also you do work up a sweat so you need to keep hydrated! sanitry towels, maternity bras- open button nightie also if you are wanting to breast feed- alond with breast pads incase you have any leakage. i just put my little one in plain white baby grows whilst in hopsital ( i didnt know what i was having so they wernt pick at the time!) and also nappies, cotton wool for changing bums, and also an outfit to go home in! i wouldnt really bother with your make-up bag as that was the last thing on my mind when i had just giving birth to a beautiful baby! also comfy socks i loved, change of clothes for you to go home in, a book or mag ( for after the birth there can be a lot of waiting if you are well with midwifes, hearing tests etc) and i would take a towel also incase you would like to have a little bath after the birth ( i found this soothing as i has a few stitches). well im 36 weeks and i packed my bag about a month ago lol the most important things are breast pads, maternity bra's, sanitry towels, nighties, baby clothes, all stuff like that if your still looking for other stuff there is plenty of books you can read and they tell you what to pack in your bag gd luck hun:)

hello guys, i'm no where near giving birth yet, i'm only 13 and half weeks but as most people on here are near the day i'm guessing, i thought you would be the perfect people to give me advice on the most important things to pack in my hospital bag (when i buy one!) i've started a list but cant help feeling like i'm missing some important things out! hope everyone is ok!?
