Hi every1...im 25 weeks preg this week and even though i have quite afew weeks....(14 i fink) to go i must admit im gettin scared about giving birth, i no its gonna hurt, i just hope i can cope with the pain!! Every mum ive spoke to has had a diff experience so suppose no1 can tell u for sure how its gonna go for u!!
You're right there, every one is diferent, a friend of mine did the whole thing on half a paracetamol,I managed on gas and air some need everything the midwives have, there are lots of choices, my boyfriends ex had an epidural and slept through most of it! I know you're scared right now but i have a theory and many mums i have spoken to seem to agree. By the time you get to around 32-35weeks you start to get really fed up with being pregnant you're heavy an tired, you can't get comfortable and the ' i don't care i just want it out NOW' mentality starts to kick in. I think it's natures way of getting us ladies to actually want the labour bit to come and get rid of some of the fear!
Good luck my lovely your body with cope better than you could ever imagine!xx

hiya!! im 36 weeks pregnant and tbh i am very nervus but at them same time im so excited ..im really looking forward to the arrival the pain im not looking forward to but if i want my baby which i most deffo do then i gotta get my head around the fact there is going to be pain and lots of it ....some people are lucky some are not my sister was in labour for 10 hours and my fellas sister was in labour for 2 days but its all worth it in the end good luck everyone x
only 7 weeks to go myself and though it's no 4 it doesn't stop me from being a bit anxious. have never had any problems before but it is normal to be worried when you are going into something different- no 2 labours are the same! first baby was on time,5hrs long, very text book! 2nd baby-8 days late after 3 false alarms and 2.5 hrs start to finish! the easiest delivery and heaviest at 8lb 7ozs!3rd was 2 weeks late- I had to be induced and that was harder coz you don't get the natural progression in contractions- luckily my mum was induced with me so warned me in advance! just think how many people do you know who only have one baby? if it was that bad we would all only have 1!

I am 33 weeks pregnant with baby no 4! I have 3 girls already and this is a girl again! I have been very fortunate to have had 3 good labours with no complications, It's true it stings a bit- but like it's been said once you hold your baby and are told all is well you forget the pains! am still scared this time round though-think it's normal what with all the hormones! don't worry your body already knows what to do and the medical staff are there to do the rest. Speak to your birth partner before and let them know what you do and don't want! Get informed so you can make the right choices for you and don't be bullied into anything! it is your right to chose where and how you have your baby- not enough mums are told this! have fallen out with own midwife because I wouldn't just do what I'm told!

hi there, i was scared 2 about the labour and yes it hurts alot, i was in labour for 9 and a half hours and 11 days over due when it got 2 the part of pushing i cried and said 2 my husband and my mum that i wanted 2 go home and i was never having another baby again, but u forget that when u see ur baby for the first time it is the best feeling in the world and over time u will forget the pain, my little boy is 8 weeks now and i still remember everything that happened but it was that wounderful and exciting i want 2 do it again but in a few years!. The first few weeks are really scary i cried sometimes cos was that worried that something bad was going 2 happen or i wouldnt be able 2 do it properly but u will get used 2 it and then it comes naturally 2 u. good luck to u all.xx
