hey Danni,, congrats on ur wonderufl news!some surgerys varie from one district to another so its difficult to say on the time length etc it takes for blood tests n such.. with the surgery where i live they take the word of the mum-to-be tht she is pregnant but give her a bottle to pee in and hand it in at reception- not to prove tht she is pregnant, but for testing for other things like protein etc in the urine. If you book ur first app with the MW she usually take the first smaple of blood from u there n then- again not to test to prove ur pregnant but to test for other things like HIV, ur blood group- whther u are rhesus negative and a few others tht i cant quite think of off the top of my head!! .. Blood tests usually vaire as to how long they take to come back- u can be waiting from anything from 3 working days up to a couple of weeks, again, depending on where u live as each surgery may have different procedures, but the overall tests are pretty much the same where-ever u go. i took a clear blue test today and came back neg again but still no sign of my period. I am getting very inconsistent moments of lower stomach cramps. Its really unusual, my breats have been aching for days. Before a normal period, my breasts hurt for about 2 days and then I get really bad cramps so there is definetly something different about my symptoms, doesnt feel like a period. Im going to stop testing and leave it for about another week and a half. If I still dont have my period, going to take a wee visit to the doc. Here's hoping the result is eventually positive. hey girls, i had no symptoms at all. even got my period stomach cramps. started with brown disharge, then mentioned to my hubby that i hadn't seen any blood in 3 days so out of the blue did a test and there was a faint line. so i bought a first response and got 2 strong lines. still no real symptoms, need a wee more often, slight stomach cramps, and a tiny bit of nausea- although i think this is in my mind!
Why dont you try re-testing johnsminky? i understand negs are really upsetting tho. either this or try to put it out of your mind as the stress can sometimes do more harm than good.

Hi, did you girls have any specific symptoms when you took the test? I am 3 days late and my breasts are really heavy and aching but the test keeps coming back negative. What kind of symptoms did you have, it may help me in trying to figure out what these symptoms are that i have.
