This is my first post therfore I am still getting used to how this system works.
My first baby is due November and I am interested in what all you parents did after your baby arrived, what did you do in the first week together, when did you first go out with your newborn and where did you go?
hi when i had my son i came home on the friday and we were all in mother care on the sat because he was only 6lb i didnt have any cloths to fit him so we had to go get some smaller ones and i think in the first week i didnt stay in much.but i was fine they dont recomend going out so soon but i was in hospital for 4 days and just needed to get out.if i hadnt felt up to it i wouldnt have gone out.
i made the fatal mistake of not resting after my lil one i spent his first week showing him ff to family and friends and didn't give myself time to recover so therefore crashed and burned. If you are going to go out and about don't forget your body has been through a lot and you need rest aswell as baby needs you at your best.
Also if your partner (if you have one) or family offer to watch your lil bundle for a couple of hours whilst you sleep take them up on te offer you'll feel a lot better for it if you do :)

All i did in first week was get used to sitting down without it hurting and getting the hand of breast feeding. We went out i think on the 2nd week when we only went to visit elderly relatives. Dont do too much cause you will be tired from the night time feeds and adjusting to being a new mum plus getting over the birth does take some time x

didnt do anything the first week as was recovering from labour and adjusting to life as a mummy!!!, when i was up to going out we went to our local town and spent a fortune on clothes for our bundle of joy!!!
