I used to feel like this at 1st when i started expressing i had to start expressing early within 1st month because my baby wouldn't go back to the breast once i offered her formula when i was realy sore she got to used to beign bottle fed adn would scream the house down when tryd to offer her breast. the best time to express is in the morning and alternate the the breast you give her milk from for example the breast you last fed her from is right use the left to express and then offer her the 1 right 1 when its time for her feed so that the breast you've expressed from has time to fill with milk again and expressing in between feeds can help increase milk supply my lil1 is nearly 2months and has only started to feed again now with help of tommee tippee closer to nature bottles 1st i was using avent but thats what made her not want to go back to breast beacuse of teat shape but with the healp of silicone sheild she has a few feeds and i kept expressing whenever i could to keep milk supply there.if you find your breasts still feel less ful during day then only express during mornin i used to be able to get 5oz first 3 from 1 the 2 from the other but htat was only morning time during day i barely get 2 or 3 now but keep up the breastfeeding and offer her the breast more often beacsue that will also increase your supply because nothign is better that the babys natural feeding motion to increase supply

Hi I hope someone can put my mind to rest. I expressed for the first time yesterday and msnaged to get 3oz before my daughters next feed off the breast she would of fed from. She didn't want to take the bottle screamed so I ended up giving the same breast from the previous feed again. I am feel as though my breasts aren't as full now though and am concerned that expressing has had an effect on my production of milk as neither of my breasts seem to be getting that full now. I want to try and continue with the expressing and hopefully my daughter will take to the bottle so my husband can do more.
