How about If you have a short surname and want a short first name..Beth, then it would be better to have a long middle name or joint middle name to space it out...
Eg: Beth Victoria-Rose Pulford or Beth Marie-Rose Pulford.
You need to think about if its a boy, because it might be, what about: Craig, Gary, Gareth, Thomas, Daniel, George...
