i have been reading all the worst things we have had bought for baby and got me wondering what the best or favourite thing has been for you or baby.
i always loved the knitted cardigans for babys in neutral colours but the best thing had to be a board book called this little baby with a mirror at the end all the kids loved it and now they get it in bookstart packs i have 2 one upstairs one down its a godsend with my 1 year old as it keeps her amused while i change her nappy, dress her etc saves her crawling around and me getting stressed
I have got about 16, mulsins are great i tuck one corner into my bra and put Isabel under it to feed when we're out, she loves to snuggle up with it, wipe dribble/snot/milk off her face with one...actually the possiblities are endless! Once (i think during a wedding service) my husband had a gushing nose bleed really suddenly and I luckily had a spare one to whip out.
the best present i've had though i think would have to be (can i have 2?) a fleece sleepsuit, now it the cold weather just great. Also I nice old lady is making Isabel a quilt. I know she cant use it in bed for a while but as a playmat it will be great, she had got one but now she rolls about and its too small really. I love it too because its so personal, no1 else will have one the same and its especially for her.
hi there- one of the best items i bought would have to be muslims clothes/breastfeeding squares/burping clothes. I have 5 chidlren and with my 5th i managed to breastfeed him for 7 mths however he was such a sicky baby that normal bibs just werent enough for him. they are ieal for both botle and breastfeed babys and in the summer months i even saw one mum using a burping cloth as a shade over her babys head as she had him in her arms and didnt have a sun hat for him. They are great for when you are in the middle of a nappy change too and baby decides to do that all annoying bit of sick on the changing mat- as baby grows they are much more useful than a normal bib when it comes to weaning- for breastfeeding mums they can be used over to cover the bit of boob you dont want people to see- and whichever way you feed- as baby is placed over your shoulder for windng, guaranteed they will almost always make a mess down a top your wearing when your out!- in fact; id wished id bought some of these clothes with my other chidlren- quick drying, easy enough to wash and they always sell them in packs rather than one or two in the packet you get about 4-6! x peri
i use old towelling nappies for same things and they are fab
