I should go to you GP first of all. Even if it turns out to be nothing. It's the best way to put your mind at ease.
I wouldn't have thought you'd get pains as high as that at 4 weeks. I think, from experience of a friend of mine, that you'd get pains in your abdomen, where you get period pains (and it would be like very bad period pains) if it were an eptopic pregnancy. It usually happens very quickly too.

Thanks LittlePickle, I have booked an appointment to see my GP this week - so hopefully she'll be able to put my mind at ease but thanks for your answer because at least now I know i'm not worrying over nothing. When you've not been through it before you feel a bit stupid in case you're making a big deal out of something which could be as common in pregnancy as morning sickness. Thanks again

I've only just found out that i'm 4 weeks pregnant, however I have been suffering with, what I can only describe as a very painful stitch, just below my rib cage on my left hand side for about 3 days now. I'm a bit worried as it gets worse the more I move. I'm not unfit as I take regular exercise. I'm just worried that it could be something more serious such as an eptopic pregnancy. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know if what i'm feeling is normal or not? Could anyone give me any advice or at least put my mind at ease? thank you xx
