Hi, i have an 8 month old son who still manages to get up thrice in the night for milk. I hear of my friends proudly saying that their babies sleep through the night.... how do i manage that? Am i not following anything that should be done to ensure a healthy sleep pattern by my son. Please advise...
I wanted to know if any one knew how to get a dummy of a 3 year old ( he only has it at night ) however it still an issue , he is so lovely and he has done so well , toliet trained at 2 years old through the night as well and holds it all night ! sleeps like a log ..but what happens when the dummy goes ? and how do i get rid of them dummy , with out endless nights of NO SLEEP ...lol help Paige x
i told my son about a dummy fairy story she would come and take is dummy when he is a big boy, make your story funny for him,let him know she is nice, she would also leave him a treat, the dummy fairy would only take it at nite.distract him when he wants his dummy,i know it sounds silly but it worked on my little boy hope it helps.

Our 21 month old is pretty set in a routine that she has dinner, bath and bed every night and is willingly (in fact she gets very moany if we're late!) tucked up by about 6:30. most nights this is fine and we don't hear a peep from her until 7 or 8 o'clock the next day. some nights she starts crying and screaming at some point, could be 10 o'clock, could be 3 o'clock it varies. anyway she wakes up and screams as if she's in pain or uncomfy or something, at this point she's totally inconsolable, she doesn't want a bottle or anything and my wife ends up cuddling her for ages before she eventually stops (daddy just isn't good enough at this point!!!). does anyone else have this problem? we're thinking it could maybe be growing pains? any ideas?
i have the same problem my daughter is 18months old and has always been a fantastic sleeper she has bath then milk then bed by 7pm and goes to sleep without a peep but since xmas has been waking up screaming anytime between 1am-5am. i have been tucking her back in with her teddy and have ended up leaving her to cry it out as nothing else works.this often takes up to 2hrs of crying and moaning on and off for her to go back to sleep. she is getting her last 2 teeth through at the minute so that may be something to do with it i dont know. its exhausting though....
my 15 months old daughter has recently got into a really bad sleep routine she slept from 7 til 8 the next morning up until she hit 1 the she started waking up at about 10 at night and now i cant even get her to sleep until around 1 in the morning, its driving me mad because i constantly feel exhausted. i really need her to settle into a routine before my second baby comes as i am 23 weeks pregnant. help. xx
My 23mth old daughter was a fantastic sleeper until she reached 8mths old, then the teething started! We had to take it in turns to sleep in her room with her just to get some sleep. she's only recently(2-3mths)started sleeping all night, she still naps during the day and this can be anything from 30mins to 2hrs and varies depending on how she slept the night before. we have recently moved her from her cot bed into a single bed which seems to have helped and we have a bedtime story evernight but we can't seem to get her into a regular routine with a set bedtime. Any helpfull suggetions or experiences welcome?
