Hi, i just wanted to tell everyone about the sleep nurse we had when our 10 month old daughter was having problems sleeping. i've read a few posts and nobody seems to know this service is available. i contacted my health visitor when my 2nd child was due because my 10 month old daughter wasn't going through the night and i was worried about having 2 children up through the night. my hv put me in touch with a sleep nurse, she came to our house and talked to us for about half hour about our daughter, her routine during the day and night, feeding habits, etc, then gave us a diary to fill in and a few tips to get us started. she came back a week later and based on what we had written in the diary she gave us a few different things to try. we could call at anytime for advice and support. she came back a week later and although we were still having a few probs she adapted the routines a little and a week after that we were sailing through the night! The service was free and available to children of all ages. We were put in touch through our health visitor but i am sure if you asked your gp they would be able to give you the local sleep nurses contact details. Hope this helps you all and good luck!
