my baby is 7months and fights his sleep during the day. as soon as he starts to get tired he starts to scream. it can take me up to an hour and a half to get him to fall asleep.. by that time he only sleeps for 10-15 minutes and is back up again .. any ideas ? he's only just started doing this and i dont know what to do??

Hi Aidan's mummy, that's the million dollar question. There are zillions of parents who would pay their weight in gold to know the answer to that one! I have two children (3 and 14mths) and had similar problems with both. My son went through a period of not wanting to sleep in the day but has got better now. What advice can I offer - not much I'm afraid but perhaps to try one strategy consistenly for up to two weeks and if it still doesn't work move on to a different strategy. Elizabeth Pantley wrote a book called the 'no-cry sleep solution' which gives lots of advice and tips on gentle ways to help your baby sleep through the night but should hopefully be useful for day naps as well. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Best of luck. Frankie x
P.S. If you ever discover the secret be sure to let us know.
