We adopted a lovely baby boy when he was 6 months old (now 9 months). I've looked all over for a baby record book but they all seemed aimed at birth parents. We've obviously missed all the 'firsts' prior to him coming to us (baby scan, first smile, first tooth, etc) and don't have the info for his family tree or his hospital details, so much of the record books are irrelevant. Does anyone know where we can get something more suitable? Thanx
have you tried scrapbooking you take the photos decorate the page and write first...... or baby grandparents and so on holidays first day with you yur first home as family etc its not as hard as it sounds and it means you can put whatever you want in it in any order and there are so many places to buy fromnow that it needn`t cost a fortune
i had a baby record book with youngest and wasnt impressed with it so i did a scrapbook for her an dfamily find it much better than the books as they can se pictures of the first etc instead of just reading a date
completely agree with andretonner... and yay you. im so happy for you and your family on your new addition. how admirable too. x

Why dont you make your own?
I have, as I found the record books didnt have much information for one thing and information for stuff we didnt want to or couldnt record for our little boy. I wrote to my baby all the way through my pregnancy and then every two weeks after he is weighed and I have my husband working on bits to put in too and then photos. I bought a scrapbook and I plan on printing that off and sticking it in there. You could write about what you and your partner did to adopt the baby, your expectations and excitement and then how you felt when he came to be with you and then write about all the firsts with you, fair enough it wasnt his first bath, but it was his first bath with you and it is just as important. I hope this helps x
