2nd baby, how will my toddler cope?

My daughter is two and a half and I'm twenty five weeks pregnant. So far she seems excited at the prospect of a sibling and even tells me she has a baby in her tummy. What worries me is that we got a kitten a month ago and she picks her up and carries her around and in her kindness ends up being quite cruel! I've also seen how she reacts to my friends children the same age as her, she's quite boisterous with them! Has anyone had similar experiences? Any tips for how to cope?

hello, just try your best not to leave your older child out of things.
its hard when your feeding the baby etc, but when your changing the baby try and involve your older one. like asking her to pass you the nappies and wipes etc.
if your older one is crying and your holding the baby, put the baby down and see to the older one instead 4 a bit because then she will think she is just as important.
teach the older one to share stuff now, b4 she gets any older because she has to realise when the baby comes, there isn't just one child in the house anymore, there's two!!
hope this helps, good luck xx
