At 22 weeks Fetal movements have yet to establish a pattern and a number of women at this stage have still not felt their baby move. Over the next few weeks your fetal movements will become stronger and you will notice a pattern developing. Your baby will not move all the time and will have periods of rest throughout the day. I would not worry about the size of your 'bump' at the moment, remember we are all different and women carry their babies in different ways, being a first time mum means that your abdominal muscles are firmer and tend to hide your pregnancy at this stage. Your next antenatal appointment will be at 24 weeks, make a note of any questions that you may have between now and then and take them along to your appointment to ask your midwife.
I think you shouldn't try to compare yourself to everyone else as every pregnancy is different and some babies will be more active than others. Having said that, if you are really worried you should visit your gp to get reassurance.
dont't be listening to other people hun, it sound like there really making you worry when you should'nt be.
i did'nt feel my first baby till i was 20 weeks pregnant, it was just tiny 3 little pokes on the trot!! it was so lovely. thats when i felt i really was pregnant, and it was the best feeling ever!! then i din't feel him again for another week or two. when your a first time mum you don't realise that your baby is moving and kicking because you dont know what it feels like so you could mistake it for wind etc!! i wasn't very big either until i was about 25 weeks so don't worry about that!!
they say aswell if your moving about all the time like walking etc, it rocks your baby to sleep, i used to feel mine more when i was laying down in bed.
you'l feel you r baby moving as it gets bigger and stronger so you have nothing to worry about!! xx
