Stomach Cramps

For the past three weeks I have been experiencing mild stomach cramps (similar to if I was about to start my period), however I took a pregnancy test and it was negative and then started my period the following day (last Friday). My period has finished but the stomach cramps have continued. I haven't experienced this before during a normal cycle. My period was also really light and finished with in 3 days. I am a 28 day exact cycle with periods lasting 5 days. Could this be sign of a very early pregnancy?
