Another Baby

hi. m also having a second child(12wks) and my first is 2+yrs. i sometimes feel so lost and scared as my son was a crying and sleepless type of baby. now he is very active, difficult to feed and generally a handful. am scared because i feel the second one will be just like the brother, or that I won't cope.iam just really scared of having another child who will be a handful. am lucky i don't experience morning sickness, but I eat a lot. just 2 weeks ago I was in hospital for threatening miscarriage. I had had severe stomach cramps the night before, and bleed a little the following morning. am back at work after a week of bedrest but am stil scared something will go wrong. how do i prevent anything bad from happening? or how do i stop myself from worrying if I will manage with anothr one? help me from going insane

Hi my name is Elizabeth. Am pregnant for my 3rd child and am about 18wks gone,my 2nd child is a 7 years old and its not been easy during the first trimester,it was like i ave never been pregnant before. However everything is new to me and i ave to start shoping allover again,dont even no wat to buy or wat not to buy.

I bought a second hand Graco tandem buggy from a child minder on Netmums for £60 including the car seat and lock in base - bargain!

Is your son using a buggy now or is he happy to walk? I got the double buggy as Rhiannon will walk so far then wants carrying and is too heavy to carry long distances plus she can sleep in the buggy. I'm glad I didn't go for a side by side buggy as it's hard enough getting into somee shops with the single width one.

Hello everyone Im new to this site and wanted to say hello...Im pregnant with baby #2 and very excited but equally as nervous!! our son is 13months old and he is amazing, he has slept through the night since he was about 2/3months old and he is just so happy all the time. Im really worried we are going to have a completely different baby that crys all the time and doesn't sleep. Iv tried to convince myself that Fynlee is the way he is because of how me and my husband have raised him and that all our other kids will be just as good but so many people keep telling us we were just lucky... Please tell me Im right and not everyone else lol Sianee xxx

Have you bought a new twin stroller then? I'm wondering if I can get away with just a buggy board as my boy will be almost 3... xx

What a difference second time around has been! I had my son Logan on the 13th May and this time got to use the birthing pool although I got so hot I nearly fainted so had him outside of the pool using just gas and air. The labour was much quicker too as my waters broke at 3.30am, contractions started at 6.30am and he was born at 1.40pm.

I didn't stay in the hospital either as we were both fine and I needed to get back to Rhiannon who was being looked after by a friend.

It is hard work having a toddler and newborn but it is a lot less stressful dealing with things like crying and wind as I've dealt with it once before so know what I am doing. Breastfeeding has been a lot easier this time too.

Rhiannon has accepted having a baby brother really well and occasionally plays up but it's to be expected.

She was 2 on the 25th July and it's a nice age gap as she's big enough to help out and is happy to play while I sort Logan out.

I don't know how my Mum coped with my brother and me being twins but I now know why she didn't go out much as it's a mammoth task getting 2 kids sorted and out of the house!

Hi Kate, I'm Kate too and in that same boat!

You know I've seen loads of mums complain in the run up to it but then just find that the older sibling is so helpful and does more entertaining than you did the first time round that the second just slips into place. You have your routine, knowledge and everything already so the second will just fit into your life. Plus you know so much more now than the first time round!!

I have a friend to has just had another boy with the same age gap from the eldest and said to me she adores it more than she thought ever she would!

Hi everyone, newbie here to the Gurgle website.

Expecting our second child in the next few weeks. We already have one girl called Emily who is 2 years and 8 months old.

My husband has been fantastic with Emily. He has pretty much looked after her full time since she was three months old and I had to return to work to support our family. Now as I have decided to take 6mths maternity its my turn to be a proper mum and earn my mum-status. But I'm now really panicing how I will cope being a parent to two children.

Any tips for a new mum-again???
