Hay there, I need a bit of help in finding my boy a suitable baby chair. He's going on to 19 weeks now and has most defiantly grown out of his bouncer! He's just too big for it, plus he tries sitting up and wriggling about, I just get images of it toppling over with him. Now I've had a look around and it seems that he's not old enough for a high chair he still needs something with a bit of support, I need a chair for this in between stage and there seems to be nothing about. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sarah.

By the way, the Polly cost £97 new but if you have a smaller budget you could try ebay for a used one?

I had the same problem with my daughter. I decided to spend a bit more on a highchair that is suitable for babies who cant sit up yet, as I'd end up buying a highchair anyway I might as well spend a bit more to use it for longer! I bought the Chicco Polly highchair which is suitable from 6 months as the back reclines to 3 different positions. Great for when baby falls asleep you can lean the seat right back to make it more comfortable. Also has a net bag on the back, handy to keep a stock of bibs and baby wipes!

Aha! It's called a playnest, here's a link to the exact same one she had, hope it works! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Galt-Playnest/dp/B000296KW6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=toys&qid=1223759761&sr=8-3

For my little girl we had a kind of rubber ring with a fabric cover, I think it was done by Galt, I've seen them around in shops. Can't think what they're called maybe a play ring? Anyway it supported her enough to help her sit up when she couldn't quite do it herself. x

I have a bumbo and its great. You can get them quite cheap on ebay/ebid and sometimes on netmums. The other thing is a swing. I borrowed one from my friend. And it has a lock switch so you can use it as a mini high chair when your baby is too small for one.

This one is a pretty good deal.

hi i have twin boys who are 9month old and from 5 months i have been puttin them in bumbos! you can get them from mothercare, argos and on the net, they are great to support their backs and help them strengthen their back muscles to aid sitting upright! they also keep your baby pretty secure until they learn how to get out of them but my two have only just mastered that so i guess its times to get another seat for them both but they are great for the age of your baby xxx
