have just read the news about Angelina Jolie taking her 6 year old son shopping for a knife! How inappropriate is this? Does she not realise the dangers of children carrying sharp objects? Sorry but all the sharp knives in my house are on a magnetic strip, high up on the wall, well out of reach of even my 8 year old niece! I also tell my girls about why violence is not the answer and how we don't do and say things to hurt others! Carrying a knife does not guarantee you won't be attacked anyway- and who would attack a 6 year old child? Surely he would always have an adult with him anyway?!
told gary about it last night when he came in and though he is never interested in celebrities or the stupid things they get up to he said " stupid b*£$"!" and left the room, luckily out of ear shot of the girls, then later he said 'haven't they got new babies and a toddler too? their kids are similar ages to ours! and shook his head. honestly, i am a childminder and when i think of what i had to do before my Ofsted inspection to 'safeguard my home etc'! it's quite mental i don't know what she was thinking!!

what?! thats not rite at all. i have a 6 year old son n i wudnt even let him touch 1 ! yes u wud think he wud always have an adult wiv him wudnt u? she must b mad. xx
I think it's a disgrace and just shows that the woman has no grasp on reality. She's irresponsible, what will she buy her children next, a crack pipe to teach them about drugs??
I think its disgusting that she is taking him shopping for a knife at the age of 6!!!!,
does she not realise that it will encourage him to have an interest in knifes and could put himself in more danger!!,
u would think that as a well known celebrity too that she would realise that she is setting a bad example to other people,
i dont kno wat any1 else thinks but i think she is in a way setting her son the example that using violence is ok!! if she wants him to be able to protect himself then why not enroll him in self defence classes or karate or somethin!!
