Ugh, I hated the depo injection. It made me really depressed and put on weight.
It took over a year for my period to come back after stopping, then it was all over the place for another 2! Sorry, hope that doesn't alarm you.
I'd not had good periods beforehand either. I had endometriosis. I'd already had hormone treatment for it, which stopped my periods for a couple of years. Then was recommended the depo.
Took me over 2 years to get pg with my little girl about 8 yrs after all of that.
I've heard that sometimes it can take a while to fall pg a 2nd time if the 1st was easy or under a contraception. (Don't know if there's any medical evidence of that but I've found it to be the case with several women I know).
Hardest thing to do, is relax. I thought I'd never get pg, then happened to not think about it as much as I was waiting for another op for the endo. We were convinced our baby was conceived when we went out on an old fashioned 'date' together.

ive been told that your fertility can take up to a year to get back to normal after a depo injection, but i cant see why you shouldnt be able to concieve now, tell your doctor you want another baby and you want to know why u havent concieved. Good luck xx

i've been trying for a baby since last november, as that is when the depo injection i were using for contrception ran out. i didnt have a period till june and there still not regular, but they never really have been. I'm just worried that i'm never going to get pregnant. i spoke to my doctor and he's not worried as i've already got a little boy, who were actually concevied whilst i were on depo injection. does anyone have any ideas why dont seem to be getting pregnant?
