Anyone esle feeling a little Jekyl and Hyde

Ladies, I'm in need of a rant! Please don't take any of my threats seriously! i'm a nice person really! I'm 24 weeks pregnant and for the past couple of months i have been acting like a lunatic! As sweet as a double helping of Lemon Cheese cake one minute and as evil as is i served it to you with a large sprinkling of arsenic the next! My poor husband is the victim of this piece as he gets to suffer the brunt of my Jekyl and Hyde personality complex. As i can't take anything to calm me down i've suggested my husband go to his GP and beg for some valium. This way when i get possessed by the evil spirits he can just pop a pill and let it all go over his head and hopefully forget who gave him the black eye whilst he slept! I've convinced myself that my mother in-law is evil as well as she gave us her hoover when she bought a new one.. OK this is not such an evil thing to do. but the fact that i could probably pick up more dust whilst sucking through a straw and that it spits out the dirt that it does suck up leads me to believe that she whats me to suffer for taking her last born away from her! Hormonal Over-reaction? Maybe. Doesn't stop me wanting to take the hoover and bit by bit forcefully place it where the sun hasn't shone in many a year! Apart from that i may have screamed and some fish fingers earlier today because they fell out of the grill and landed on the floor, ruining my plans for a fishfinger a cheese sandwich. Thinking back it was probably the fault of the grill pan which leapt out of my hand and caused the poor fishfingers to plummet to their untimely and unexpected trip to the bin!!! As you can see i'm in a very weird place at the minute and would appreciate someone telling me that i am not alone in all this. I like to see the funny side of my predicament as if i told you how i was really feeling i'd be writing this through streaming eyes and uncontrolable sobs brought on by the fact that i already stared this rant once and accidentally wiped it and had to start all over again! Help!!!

This is all hilarious, love hearing about other peoples crazy hormones and im glad im not the only one!! Worse thing someone can say to me is 'oh its just your hormones' to which I reply with 'HORMONES?!?! I'LL GIVE YOU F*CKING HORMONES!!!!'. So far ive done a bit of a naomi campbell and bounced my phone off my boyfriends head in temper, poor phone was also dashed in an arguement with my brother when he wouldnt peel the potatoes. Oh and last weekend i screamed and stomped up the stairs having a bit of a paddy because the house was a mess!

im exactly the same. my poor kids dont know what to do theyre walking on eggshells!! and my man who doesnt live with me at the mo. doesnt know what to do. course its worse cos he cant see me and my rants seem worse on the phone. we also not been tog that long so this baby is a shock. good old penicillen baby. got carried away one eve!!lol. but still at least hes supporting me. so he gets it in the neck cos my solicitor who soring my divorce out isnt doing it quick enough. and my guniea pigs have made a mess with the sawdust and the youngest son was sick in my car. so its all my mans fault!!lol
bloody hormones!!lol
and of course the worst thing for the man to say is calm down love.

Ha ha, you've made me laugh my socks off - I'm like that at home and I'm not even pregnant yet!! Oh the joys of hormones eh?! I'd say have a bit of fun with your craziness, my husband stands and laughs at me sometimes and actually says he enjoys a bit of nuttiness x
Tell you what! My husband has been in stitches in the funnier moment of my craziness! I've got porridge brain something cronic and cant think of words, which can be awrkard sometimes as im a student counsellor! i substitute them for words that sound similar but mean something completely different and dont get the jokes he makes like i used to. he's come to expect the nuttiness that is me now. i just feel really sorry for him when i do kick off on a mad one! An extremely round, heavy, hormonal, female with an anger issue can be quite a sight once she gets going!

Just to reasure you there is research out there that suggets that those who do not (in some sense) question what they are doing when they become pregnant are more likely to have problems after the birth. Mood swings, morning sickness, ranting and raging are part and parcel of the same thing- or so the research suggests. Asking the question "Am I mad to be doing this?" "Does it make sense to put my heart so completely on the line?" Questining yourself makes sense. You are in the process of making one HUGE, HUGE change to your life. Its impossible to know before you become a mother just how much a baby ties you- and how emotionally involved you will be. So its good to get ready by kicking the hoover now and then.
