recommend please?

hi- baby girl is 10 days old now- and though all is well0 she's great really! she has dry flaky skin on her feet and tummy. midwife suggested olive oil but it's a bit messy and comes off on her clothes, was going to use a normal moisturiser or baby lotion but if anyone has any better suggestions? my girls all have sensitive skin and are allergic to Johnsons products and certain soap powders so need something really gentle and unperfumed?!

My daughter was really dry and flaky when she was born. I didn't get on with olive oil either. By the time she was 8 weeks it still wasn't getting any better so I went to the doctor. She was prescribed Doublebase (the same as diprobase). I use it every day and her skin looks and moisturised now.

My daughter developed ezcema at 8 wks and we were given diprobase and Epaderm and they are both brilliant, Epaderm is alittle greasy but it really helps.

Gd luck xx

Will the doctor prescribe you diprobase cream? It's really really plain and I find it gets absorbed quite well.

my son had horrible flaky skin when he was born. i have extremly sensitive skin anything with perfume in it burns my skin so i didnt want to use anything like that on my skin. i found that simple intense mouisturiser worked wonders on my sons skin. good luck.
