Can anyone tell me if I'm normal or whether I'm a complete crackpot!!
I'm 11(+6) weeks pregnant and am just so worried about everything!!
When I was 6 weeks I had some brown discharge, I went to the EPU and was examined and had an internal U/S scan and thankfully everything was ok.
However, since then I am so paranoid that something has happened to the baby- I am constantly in the toilet checking for signs (I'm surprised I havent wiped my whole underneath away!!!)
On sunday I went to the loo and there was some pink on the tissue, I nearly had a heart attack, until my Mum told me on the phone it was most probably the 3 beetroots I had eaten at dinner that had come out in my wee! (she'd had it before!)Im a nervous wreck!!
I had my booking in appointment yesterday and just on cue I had some more brown dischage- however the midwife didnt seem that concerned about it- Ive got a scan on Monday, so have to wait until then to find out.. I'm just so paranoid that something has happened to the baby!
Also my sickness and sore boobs have gone, but apparently this is normal at this time?
Please try and reassue me before my husband carts me off to the nut house!!
Sorry to go on!

We're all like it. You should see my enless stream of posts. Just think - your dating/nuchal translucency scan is soon and you'll have an answer. Mine's tomorrow. I've sent my husband to the shed because he's driving me mad with his nerves (they manifest as passive aggression - irritating oppressive silences - MEN!!!) Mine manifest as overphysicality - poking him while he tries to build the kitchen, or suddenly deciding to strip the polystyrene ceiling tiles off the landing. We're all poor paranoid things. You're not ALONE - Mwa ha ha ha ha! Very halloween - see...see how my nerves manifest themselves? If I could have been attacking you in the fashion of a vampire I would have been but you're an e-person at the end of a computer so ... anyway...shut up alex. Wish me luck and I wish you it back. BYE.
PS. I had a missed miscarriage last time too so I know it can leave you feeling like you can't read your body. Poor you...don;'t worry!
PPS. I'm going to make leek and potato soup and continue to strip the upstairs wallpaper.
Good Luck! x

Hi Claire, You're definitely normal so don't worry. I think everyone goes through the paranoia stage at the beginning, I know I did. When I found out I was pregnant I felt sick all day for about 2 weeks then had a dating scan at 8 weeks to see how far gone I was, after that i didn't feel anything at all, no sickness, sore boobs nothing so I got all paranoid that something had happened too. Had my 12 week scan and everything was fine and i've relaxed abit now. I'm 15 weeks and don't feel pregnant at all, although my boobs are getting big (woo hoo!!) I'm just enjoying it and feeling lucky that i haven't been ill, although my emotions are everywhere, lol. Hope this helps, add me if you wanna chat xx
Thank you :)
I cant wait for my scan on Monday (although I hate blood tests and have to have them aswell!) I'll probably then spend the following week worrying about whether the tests come back ok!! haha! Im useless!
I think my paranoia stems from the fact that my friend had 2 late miscarriages and then had a silent miscarriage at 11 weeks or so, so I'm convinced it's going to happen to me! Esp now my symptoms have pretty much gone!
Thanks for your words of advice ladies
xxxxx
I too had bleeding early on and had a scan and everything was fine. For a few weeks after I would keep checking to see if there was any more blood. I convinced myself something would go wrong. I don't think I relaxed til my 20 week scan when it suddenly seemed real ( didn't do 12 week scans in my area at the time). Hopefully when you have you're scan on Monday you'll be able to relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Good luck xx
its completely normal i was like it with both my babies try to relax most miscarriages happen before 10 weeks and at 12 weeks they are rare only 1% of miscarriages happen after 12 weeks and to have a silent miscarriage (when you dont have bleeding for a long time after the baby dies) is very rare, i had 2 miscarriages inbetween my babies and i was a wreck prob worse than you when i carried my little girl but it was all ok :) try not to worry i know its easier said than done but it will be worth all this when ya holding your baby :)
