Guide To: Labor and Birth

When you first found out you were pregnant it probably seemed unreal, but look at you now – you're counting the days to your due date and browsing the baby clothes aisle at the store!

But there’s one last hurdle to go… that baby has to come out! One of the top worries for most pregnant women is giving birth. As a mom-to-be you may hear all sorts of scary birth stories and advice from moms who’ve done it already. The best thing to keep uppermost in your mind is that each birth is completely different.

Take the advice you’re given (hey, it could be good advice after all!) but remember that ultimately the kind of birth you have depends on you, your baby, and how it all goes on the big day. One thing’s for sure though – the more you understand about what’s happening to your body, the more relaxed and calm you’ll be when you feel those first twinges that signal you’re about to meet your baby.
