hiya im jo im 21 and a single mum in luton, findin it quite hard latley just get so fed up, i dont no any other mums so my son hardly gets to play with other kids cept when he goes to the park or his playgroups, very lonely, just wondering if there is any other mums just wanting a chat or meet up at some point, tried diff websites and either dont get no replys or dont work out! if any other mums wanna get in touch plz do lol x
my name is louise and i'm 37 years old. i am 38 weeks pregnant and feel so alone at times. my friends and family are supportive but they don't really understand what i'm going through. i'd love to hear from other mums in a similar situation to find out how they are coping.
Hi Louise. How are you? Have you had the baby yet? I am a 38 year old single mum to Zack who is 10 months old now and I felt the same as you when I was pregnant. I have got loads of friends and a great family who are all very supportive but none of them really understood how I felt apart from one friend who was in the same position as me and had her son on her own and she was an absolute rock for me throughout my pregancy and since I have had Zack. She just really understands and sympathises with me. It may sound daft but one of the nicest things she has done was to come round to mine and she took Zack out for a walk so that I could have a nice relaxing soak in the bath when I was feeling really stressed out. Daft but it meant the world to me! I love being a mum and wouldn't change a thing but there are times when I wish Zacks dad was still around but 99% of the time I am happy to be a single mum! My outlook has changed dramatically and I am now glad that I don't have to 'share' Zack with his daddy and I just think that it is my ex who is losing out as he has missed out on 10 months with the most special little boy in the world!
