My son Zac is 3 and is intolerant to dairy, wheat and gluten. He was fine until he had swine flu around the time of his first birthday, but now he is on a very strict diet. Keeping him well nourished and happy is very difficult, but over the last two years we have got there and found lots of great foods he can enjoy. I have developed some recipes, we have discovered some great 'safe' brands and even identified some restaurant chains that cater for us. I know lots of others out there, face these problems. Please let me know how you cope. I have set up a blog with lots of info. Please follow www.feedingmyintolerantchild.wordpress.com
Please help !!! My son is just over 3 years old and up until now has been a really good eater, however, over the last couple of weeks he's become very picky, he's stopped eating breakfast, it's a battle to get him to eat lunch and for the past few days he hasn't eaten his dinner or supper. My husband think I over-react to him not eating, (maybe I do), but I find it frustrating that I prepare food and he won't eat it, or won't try to tell me why he doesn't want to eat. I'm really starting to struggle with this now and would appreciate any advice/opinions that anyone can give.
Hi Michelle,
My now 3 1/2 year went through a similar thing.Alot of the time I think it was just him trying to exert his authority.I found a sticker chart on the fridge worked well.Every time he ate all of his dinner, he got a sticker, and then when he filled an entire line he got a treat. If you little man is resisting eating, just remind him that if he eats his dinner he'll get a sticker, then count how many spaces he has left until he gets a treat. You'd be amazed what a sticker chart can do.I have them everywhere for different tasks, and often, just a reminder is enough to encourage him to do what i want. But if he doesn't eat, make sure he knows that there won't be anything else to eat until the next mealtime.
My sons are 2 and 4 and often go through phases of not wanting to eat. There will always be a reason don't try to hard to find it just be consistent with offering different things and don't worry about it and it will soon resolve itself. Now they are both amazing eaters and eat absolutely everything. My 4 year old loves sushi and my two year old could live on Turkish kebabs.

Hi ! My son is 26 months old and still has a bottle at night (he doesn't have one at any other time of the day), I'm not sure whether I should let him tell me when he's ready to give it up or whether I should simply stop giving it him ?? Any ideas/advice/opinions would be much appreciated.
